An opportunity has arisen to attend a session of a lecture/Q&A series entitled Grub and Grog in Leeds which will have craft brewery owner and it's graphic designer
Notes
Richard Burhouse;
- Brand awareness is important, knowing what you want from the company and how you want public to react.
- Wanted to create a unique look.
- Dislikes undersold: By this he means beers which are let down by graphic design on the pump clips, even bars put bottles to the back if it is shitty graphics and therefore they don't sell.
- Agreed that beers are passed up because of the labels and pump clips, the previous company where he sold beer online didnt dell becuase of bad labeling and graphics.
- Craft argument about how it is either a good thing or a bad thing.
- Opinion on supermarkets selling through world of craft (sat on the fence of this argument).
Richard Norgate;
- Rich Norgate - it is important to have a good relationship and is good to have a client (Magic Rock) that understands graphic design.
- A relationship with a printers is key, they give you the opportunity to get the best packaging for your needs. Having a good relationship has great effects and results on the look of the company and shelf presence.

I have attempted to Harvard reference this session of the lecture series by Outlaws Yacht Club.

A nice little dish (& Guess Who)
BUNDO CHAAT - A mash up of samosa pastry, potato, chic peas, tamarind and yogurt chutney topped with onion, coriander and a fiery garlic and chilli chutney...
As Rich Burhouse was answering my question, James Abbott-Donnelly too these two pictures.
Point of Contact
A reply has given me the opportunity for great primary research straight from the owner of a brewery.
